Update COVID-19 - Information for our students and their families.

May 11, 2020

Dear Referral Student Families,

It is with a heavy heart that with the announcement of the State of California's and the County of Sacramento's decision to implement a COVID-19 order legally mandating the closure of non-essential businesses, Referral Driving School has closed its office to the public. We cannot schedule future lessons until both the state and local mandate is updated or canceled for our industry. For the safety and health of our instructors and students, we feel it is important to be a responsible local business, and abide by local and state requirements.

Although our office is closed to the public, we can enroll new students, but cannot set dates for lessons until after reopening. Feel free to contact us at referralds@gmail.com for questions about enrollments.

Our online driver's education will continue, and driver's education completion certificates will continue to be mailed out accordingly. Certificates cannot be picked up in the office at this time.

The CA DMV has also canceled all currently scheduled drive test and are not offering this service until further notice. Please refer to the CA DMV website for updates. We advise reaching out to the DMV directly when appointments resume. While we want to help and support our student families with these currently canceled drive test appointments, this interruption in the DMV mandated cancellation will inevitably require these appointments to be rescheduled directly between the student and the DMV, not your current instructors. Instructors will be in touch to make sure your hours are complete to issue certificates of completion.

We feel we must respect and abide by this extended mandate, which now makes moving about our community freely a crime at a misdemeanor level, except for only the most essential of functions.

We appreciate your patience and continued patronage as we all work through this challenging time.

Thank you,
Referral Driving School
