Spread Sessions
It is our goal to assist the new driver in preparation for driving on their
own. We can teach and point out the dangers, proper methods of handling the
vehicle and the use of caution. There is no substitute, however, for
experience. The lack of accidents after receiving a license comes from a
lot of practice time and exposure prior to receiving a license.
It is very important that the new driver receives parental
practice time and guidance between sessions and prior to the DMV test.
The more time in between sessions the happier
we are and the better prepared the new driver will be. We are generally
booked at least two weeks in advance and like as much time between
sessions as possible. Some students complete training within two months,
some take an entire year. We do not think that it is a good practice
to take the sessions close together for the purpose of completing the
DMV requirement and getting a license fast. Passing the DMV test is not
the certification that you are ready to drive, neither is completing our
training. Certification comes after receiving the license and having years
of citation and accident free driving. That requires practice, time,
parental guidance, and exposure to traffic situations.
